GROSS NEUROPATHOLOGIC FINDINGS:
At autopsy the brain weighed 1380 grams. There were soft hemorrhagic lesions in the frontal, temporal and parieto-occipital lobes bilaterally (Image 02). Similar lesions were also present in the right basal ganglia, right internal capsule, left cerebellar hemisphere, mid pons and medulla (Images 03 and 04).
