Current Graduate Students

Name: Elizabeth (Abby) Stahl
Lab Phone: 412-648-2798
Mentor Name: Dr. Johnny Huard

Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Bioengineering
Undergraduate Institution: University of Pittsburgh

Current Research Description:

My project involves understanding the molecular mechanisms behind fibrosis, necrosis, and inflammation in murine models of muscular dystrophy (MD). In addition, we are delivering growth factors and muscle-derived stem cells to muscle with novel biomaterials to potentially alleviate these MD-associated pathologies.
