Pulmonary Pathology Consultation Service  (including Lung Transplantation) The Division of Anatomic Pathology at Montefiore University Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) offers pathology consultation services for pulmonary and thoracic related diseases. These include interpretation of biopsies related to interstitial, infectious, lymphoproliferative, immunologic, pleural and neoplastic lung disease. If necessary, a variety of immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization techniques can be applied as diagnostic tools. Since the UPMC is a major transplant center, evaluation of biopsies of lung allografts is a special area of expertise. Please direct consults to the individuals below: Samuel A.
