Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC

Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, an acute specialty care teaching and research hospital, is the teaching facility for obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, and neonatology for students enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh Schools of Medicine and Nursing, and for allied health professions.

With more than 10,000 births annually, Magee is a regional leader in the care of women and infants. Magee also has nationally recognized clinical programs in breast and gynecological cancers, genetics, infectious diseases, reproductive endocrinology, lupus, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and bariatric surgery.

The Department of Cytology at Magee annually examines a large number of gynecological and nongynecological specimens.
