Microdissection Genotyping -- A 72 year-old man with nausea and vomiting

MICRODISSECTION GENOTYPING:

The patient was found to be informative for the three genomic loci tested (D3s2327, D3s1539, and D3s2302). The tumor manifested 3p21 allelic loss (loss of heterozygosity), a common site for gene deletion in renal cell carcinoma (von Hippel Lindau gene), supporting a diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma.
