Gross Description -- Left Chest Mass


GROSS DESCRIPTION:

The specimen was a smooth, rubbery to firm, pink-gray and hemorrhagic mass with a polypoid appearance along the periphery, 8.4 x 6.8 x 3.0 cm and weighing 65.2 grams. There was a scant amount of pink-red, focally cauterized soft tissue loosely adherent to one area. On cross section the cut surface showed a well circumscribed, smooth, glistening, pale tan to gray mass with central moist gray to pale green focally hemorrhagic necrosis (Image 02).
