AUTOPSY FINDINGS:
Gross examination of all organs systems was essentially normal, including examination of the brain. However, microscopic examination showed significant findings in the heart, lung, brain, gastrointestinal tract, and smooth muscle of the uterus. Representative images of the heart (Images 01, 02, 03), lung (Image 04) and brain (Images 05, 06 and 07) are shown. Immunoperoxidase stains on heart tissue confirmed the diagnosis.
