Results:
Cell suspension immunophenotypic studies were performed on an enlarged right iliac lymph node and two regions were analyzed.
Region 1 (R1) represents the small noncomplex cells (71 % of the
events).
Region 2 (R2) represents the larger noncomplex cells (9 % of the
events).

Interpretation:
Flow cytometric immunophenotypic studies performed on the right iliac lymph node do not characterize the Reed-Sternberg-like cells because the cells are not well represented in the cell suspension. The lymphoid cells studied demonstrate polyclonal B-cells and a greater number of heterogeneous T-cells. The large cells include some histiocytes and show some nonspecific staining. These results do not further define the precise nature of the patient's posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorder.
