This talk will focus on the problems in existing work systems that make it difficult for workers to succeed every day, and how the principles of the Toyota Production System might be applied in evaluating and eliminating these hazards from our work. We will look at real examples of everyday ambiguous work situations and how they are interpreted, manipulated, worked around so that our front line workers can do their job. This workshop will give the attendees a new perspective on Quality Improvement by considering the lenses through which we ask our healthcare heros to filter the world that they work in.
