Research Interests:
Dr. Monaghan's research interests are in acute leukemias and myeloid disorders, including myelodysplastic syndromes. She is interested in optimizing immunophenotypic analysis by flow cytometry to detect minimal residual disease and to detect abnormal patterns of antigen expression throughout cell maturation and, further, to investigate how this related to gene expression. She is also working on the effect of immunomodulatory therapies upon transcription factor expression in myeloid precursors and myeloma cells.
