Dr. Khalbuss is Professor of Pathology and the Director of Cytology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is also a member of the Division of Anatomic Pathology and a member of the Division of Pathology Informatics.

Dr. Khalbuss' interests include the application of ancillary studies and molecular diagnostics in surgical pathology and Cytopathology; Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy diagnosis and exfoliative cytology (Urine; Fluid; CSF & CNS Cytology); and He is also interested in Cytopathology Informatics; Telecytology, and the Clinical Applications of Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) in the field of cytopathology.
