Research Interests:

Dr. Frye's research interest is looking into whether SIRT1 overexpression might play a role in prostate carcinoma. The lab of Dr. Reinberg at HHMI Rutgers recently reported that SIRT1 acts in a complex with Ezh2 within cancer cells, previous work has implicated Ezh2 in prostate carcinogenesis. Some of this work is being done in collaboration with Dr. Jian Zhang a prostate cancer researcher who recently joined the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center
