Research Interests:

Dr. Blank's research interest is in medical informatics. His goal is to develop and implement robotics and provide custom LIS tools suitable for managing multiple labs in a multiple-hospital environment. Current analysis, historical and forecasting will be supported. Also, continued extensions and applications of test specifications to decision support will be pursued.

UCLS14: A program to monitor database registration operations for errors and integrity failures.

UCLS15: An insurance agency charge audit and lab management program.

UCLS17: An audit program to insure data transfer to a comprehensive patient repository.

UCLS20: A sensitive test patient report program. Prepares patient reports for secure patient results.

UCLS21: Report Schedule Template Management. Updates of files suitable for Web-base system support activities.

UCLS22: HIS Interface Maintenance QA.

UCLS23: A program to perform QA checks on aspects of the LIS maintenance, phase 1 diagnosis codes.

UCLS24: User initiated file transfer, supports e-mail and FTP copies.

UCLS25: A program to analyze POCT performance and support daily process control.
