Pediatric Pathology Clinical Fellowship Program

Evaluation Process

Formal evaluations of the fellow's strengths, weaknesses and professional growth are provided to the Director of the program semi-annually. These are summarized, discussed at a staff meeting, and discussed forthwith with the trainee as a plan of action for the next half-year. Records of the evaluations are kept in the files of the trainees, and a summary of the Director's meeting with the trainee is added to the file. The file is accessible only to authorized individuals and to the trainee. A written final evaluation of the graduate is prepared at the time of completion of training, and comments on the trainee's ability to practice independently, with competence. This forms the basis for letters of recommendation and is kept in the trainee's file.
