Admissions

Currently the requirements for entry into training program are a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 20 semester hours of biological sciences, eight semester hours of chemistry and three semester hours of mathematics.

The candidate must submit the following to the education coordinator of the school by April 15.

  1. A completed application
  2. An application fee of $25 (check made payable to Magee-Womens Hospital)
  3. An official college transcript
  4. Two employment or academic references sent directly to the education coordinator
After these materials are received, eligible candidates are contacted for a personal interview with the medical director and education coordinator. Students are selected on the basis of their past academic record, as well as character assessment and evaluation through a personal interview. A maximum of eight students will be admitted to the program each year.
