Thesis Title

Modulation of hematopoietic stem cell and endothelial progenitor cell functions by vascular endothelial growth inhibitor (VEGI)

Current Research Description:

VEGI, a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF15), is predominantly produced by endothelial cells (ECs) and specifically targets ECs to inhibit their proliferation and induce apoptosis. My research focuses on determining whether VEGI also acts on hematopoietic stem cell-derived endothelial progenitor cells to inhibit their functions in tumor neovascularization.
