PATIENT HISTORY:
The patient is a 68 year old female with an increased white blood cell count showing a left shift in the granulocytic series after an examination for a sore throat and an ulcer in her mouth. Anemia and thrombocytopenia are also present. This bone marrow is submitted to rule out CML versus AML. Current medications include Premarin, Oscal, Amoxicillin, and Ambien.
