Microscopic Description -- A Neck Mass

MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTIONS:

Histologic sections demonstrated a well circumscribed mass (Image 3). The tumor was composed of lymphoid tissue with germinal centers and well-formed mantle zones, between which were many small epithelial islands (Image 4) and occasional clusters of histiocytes (Image 5). The epithelial islands were composed of squamous cells (Image 6). Multiple foci of sebaceous cells with well-defined borders and round to slightly indented vesicular nuclei with occasional small nucleoli and small cytoplasmic vacuoles were present (Images 7 and 8).
