PATIENT HISTORY:
The patient is a 74-year-old male with a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and malignant melanoma, both diagnosed in October 1995. In October, 1997, after a positive bone scan, the patient underwent a diagnostic bone marrow biopsy to rule out chronic lymphocytic leukemia versus melanoma. The patient had no history of chemotherapy.
