GROSS DESCRIPTION:
The specimen is received in two parts.
Part 1:
Part 1 is received unfixed labeled "clot". It consists of several irregular fragments of pink-gray to reddish-brown soft tissue measuring 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.0 cm. in aggregate. The specimen is totally submitted in a cassette labeled 1A.
Part 2:
Part 2 is received unfixed labeled "subdural membrane". It consists of an irregular fragment of pink-gray to reddish-brown firm tissue measuring 2.0 x 1.5 x 0.5 cm. The specimen is entirely submitted in a cassette labeled 2A.
