The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is a comprehensive, highly integrated, and dynamic medical center dedicated to providing exemplary patient care, educating the next generation of health care professionals, and advancing basic and clinical research. Core training in pathology is provided to resident trainees at the hospitals noted above. The proximity of the hospitals allows frequent joint conferences, meetings, collaborative research endeavors, and case review.
