Evaluation and Advancement
Contracts are renewed yearly upon satisfactory completion of rotations and passing of appropriate tests. Each resident is evaluated at regular intervals by faculty supervisors. Any problems or concerns that develop during residency are shared with the residents during periodic meetings with the residency director. If an issue arises, every reasonable attempt is made to provide the resident with counseling, remedial help, schedule alterations, and leaves of absence to accommodate his or her particular needs while ensuring that ACGME requirements as well as those of the program and clinical sites are adequately met.
