Conferences
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is a site for national conferences that residents attend at no cost. The University pays for residents to attend one out-of-town conference when they are presenting posters or platforms; residents may also use money in their book fund to defray the cost of attending conferences.
Internal conferences include Monday 12 pm CP Seminars in Laboratory Medicine, Tuesday 7 am AP unknown conference and didactic, Wednesday 7 am CP didactic, Thursday 8 am Cytopathology and Thursday 12 pm Grand Rounds. In addition, each site has a weekly or daily interesting case conference and each Center of Excellence has a weekly interesting case conference.
