Conferences
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is a site for national conferences that residents attend at no cost. The University pays for residents to attend out-of- town conferences when they are presenting papers; residents may also use money in their book fund to defray the cost of attending conferences. Residents are encouraged to attend weekly conferences encompassing areas such as surgical and transplantation pathology, autopsy, and neuropathology, as well as laboratory medicine.
