Dermatopathology
Approximately 10,000 cases, derived primarily from outpatient biopsies obtained at Falk Clinic, are reviewed annually by the Division of Dermatopathology. Residents review these cases with an experienced dermatopathologist over a multiheaded microscope for one to three months. Simultaneously rotating dermatology residents provide clinical and descriptive correlations which enhance understanding of the unique clinicohistopathologic quality of dermatopathology.
An extensive teaching set is available for independent study. Residents also participate in a weekly review of interesting cases and in dermatology grand rounds.
