I. Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or RT-PCR

  • CNAT: Quantitative Real-time PCR assay for cytomegalovirus (CMV)
  • FLUNAT: influenza A and influenza B, influenza A subtype indentification (i.e. influenza A of swine origin 2009, seasonal H1 or H3 influenza A)

II. Respiratory Virus Panel Nucleic Acid Test (RVPNAT)

The new state-of-the-art, PCR-based multiplexed Luminex xTAG RVP assay is FDA-approved for simultaneous detection of a panel of 12 clinically significant respiratory viruses (adenovirus, influenza A virus subtypes H1 and H3, influenza B virus, metapneumovirus, parainfluenza virus subtypes 1, 2 and 3, respiratory synctial virus subtypes RSV A and RSV B, rhinovirus (or enterovirus).

III. COBAS Amplicor Test

PCR-based nucleic acid test for detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhea (Roche)
