Clinical Expertise
Neuropathology (adult and pediatric neoplastic, molecular neuro-oncology, fetal and developmental, dementing illnesses)Research Interests
My primary research interest is the contribution of innate immune mechanisms in developmental and neurodegenerative processes. One of the key approaches is to genotypic postmortem brain for functional polymorphisms in innate immune system genes and to analyze pathologic features as a function of genotype. The mechanistic bases for the revealed associations are then explored using cell culture model systems.Certifications
