Congratulations to funded PPRTP Post docs/Research Associates:
Wen-Xing Ding PhD., recipient of an American Liver Foundation post-doc fellowship and the 2005 ALF Scholar Award.
Cheryl Fattman PhD., recipient of a Transition to Independent Position grant (TIP) from NIEHS. She also had an NIH F32 during her training.
Congratulations to Aaron Bell, PhD, for being promoted to Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Cellular & Molecular Pathology in November 2004.
Chunsun Dai, M.D., Ph.D., recipient of an American Heart Association Fellowship Grant beginning 7/1/2002 entitled "Combined therapy with HGF and angiotensin II blockade for renal interstitial fibrosis".

Congratulations to Rongfa Bu, M.D., Ph.D. for being the first recipient of a PPRTP Travel Award.
The PPRTP Steering Committee would like to congratulate Satdarshan P.S. Monga, M.D. for being promoted to Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Cellular and Molecular Pathology as of March 1, 2001. He was one of the first fellows funded by the PPRTP and is now also a part of the PPRTP Steering Committee. His research interests include Wnt/betacatenin signaling in Liver.
The PPRTP Steering Committee would like to congratulate former PPRTG recipient Kelly Jordan-Scuitto, Ph.D. for receiving an NIH R01 grant. The title of the grant is "Role of Cell Cycle Proteins in HIV Encephalitis. Kelly left the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology in September of 2001 to become a faculty member in the Department of Pathology at the University of Philadelphia School of Dental Medicine."
